Emerge has named Mark McEntire Chief Executive Officer. McEntire returns from Princeton TMX, where he has served as CEO since 2023, bringing 35 years of transportation operating experience across J.B. Hunt Transport, Penske Logistics, and Transplace. Co-founder Michael Leto continues as President, and Andrew Leto returns to the Founder role.

Emerge, the freight procurement and spend management platform behind ProcureOS, today named Mark McEntire Chief Executive Officer. McEntire joins Emerge from Princeton TMX, where he has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2023. Andrew Leto returns to the Founder role he held in the company’s earliest years, and Michael Leto — who co-founded Emerge in 2017 — continues as President.

The appointment brings 2 things to the role that rarely show up together.

McEntire has spent 35 years inside freight operations, beginning at J.B. Hunt Transport and Penske Logistics. He has also built a company into an enterprise business before, spending 17 years at Transplace as it grew from a young 3PL into an enterprise operation acquired by Uber Freight, then three years as CEO of Princeton TMX.

He also knows Emerge from the inside, having served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations at Emerge in 2022.

More on Mark’s background: McEntire began his career at J.B. Hunt Transport and held senior leadership roles at Penske Logistics, where he twice earned the company’s President’s Award. He then spent 17 years at Transplace, now part of Uber Freight, most recently as Senior Vice President of Managed Transportation. He is a General Electric–certified Six Sigma Black Belt, holds an APICS CSCP certification, and was selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as one of their 2024 Pros to Know for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
