Environmental Service Systems (ESS), a leading provider of janitorial and facility maintenance services, has been named Supplier of the Year Class IV by the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council (CVMSDC) at its Business Opportunity Conference (BOC26).

BOC26 is a three-day event that brings together business owners, major corporate partners, government agencies and industry leaders for networking, business engagement and opportunities to build lasting partnerships. ESS’s recognition as Supplier of the Year Class IV highlights the company’s continued growth and success as a minority-owned business. Class IV represents businesses with annual sales of $50 million or more.

The recognition adds to a longstanding track record of achievement and continued growth for ESS. The company was ranked the third-largest Black-owned business in Mecklenburg County and was also ranked the third-largest Black-owned business in Charlotte by 2024 revenue by the Charlotte Business Journal, recognizing ESS among the region’s leading Black-owned businesses. ESS has also been recognized among the Charlotte Business Journal’s Fast 50, which highlights some of the region’s fastest-growing private companies. ESS is also a longstanding Corporate Plus® member of National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), a designation recognizing minority-owned businesses that have demonstrated their capacity to execute national contracts for major corporations.
