DAYTON, Minn., Oct. 28, 2026
$60 million investment expands Gradian’s capacity across air handling, liquid cooling, and chillers for mission-critical thermal management
DAYTON, Minn., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Gradian Thermal Solutions, a leading U.S. designer and manufacturer of advanced thermal management solutions for mission-critical environments, today announced the grand opening of its new 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Dayton, Minnesota, an investment of approximately $60 million. Production began at the facility in June, and Gradian continues to ramp up capacity.
Together with the company’s 180,000-square-foot Maple Grove, Minnesota facility and the 100,000-square-foot facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, the Dayton expansion brings Gradian’s manufacturing footprint to approximately 780,000 square feet and establishes the company as a significant player in thermal management for mission-critical applications.
Gradian expects the investment to significantly expand its manufacturing capacity, supporting strong and growing demand from data center, industrial, and commercial customers. The company also expects to grow its workforce from approximately 150 employees to around 1,000 companywide.
This site expands Gradian’s capacity to build its established portfolio of thermal management solutions, which spans liquid cooling, chillers, air handling, commissioning products, and prefabricated solutions. The facility includes assembly lines, fabrication equipment, and an end-of-line testing lab for our chiller product line, all supporting Gradian’s data center, industrial, and commercial customers.
“The Dayton expansion is a deliberate investment in our ability to meet the growing demands of mission-critical thermal management applications for our ever-growing customer base,” said Jason Ulett, Chief Operating Officer of Gradian. “At the core of this expansion is a vertically integrated operating model, enabling dedicated assembly and testing capabilities specifically designed to ensure quality, performance, and scalability.”
Dayton offered the space and the location Gradian needed. The facility is large enough to support the company’s growth and sits close to Gradian’s Maple Grove headquarters, allowing the core management team to work easily across both sites. Gradian has also had strong experiences with the area’s workforce and is excited to continue growing in Minnesota.
Gradian is hiring for many roles across the Dayton facility, including engineering, project management, and accounting, as well as production, fabrication, and assembly. Candidates can view current openings and apply at linkedin.com/company/gradian-solutions/jobs.
As an engineering-led, full-line thermal solutions partner, Gradian is building the capacity, the portfolio, and the operating model to meet the evolving thermal management needs of mission-critical customers, and it plans to continue expanding across North America.
